The China Textile Import and Export Chamber of Commerce disclosed on the 26th that in September, China's textile and clothing market continued to pick up, and the export volume of the four major categories of commodities yarns, fabrics, home textiles and needle woven clothing rose again after the previous month, up 36.4%, 4.4%, 26.2% and 8.7% respectively.

In September, in terms of export volume, yarns and home textiles rose 13.7% and 4.7%, respectively, while fabrics and woven garments fell 2.4% and 4.1%, respectively. In terms of export prices, all four categories of commodities fell, of which yarns fell the most, by 20.4%, fabrics, home textiles and woven garments fell by 8.7%, 6.1% and 5.7%, respectively.

In addition, in September, under the influence of factors such as the low base in the same period last year, the export volume of Zhejiang, Shandong and Anhui and other major exporting provinces increased year-on-year, Zhejiang maintained growth for the second consecutive month, Shandong and Anhui stopped falling and rose, the three provinces increased by 3.1%, 2% and 0.3% respectively. In other provinces, except for Guangdong, which fell by 13.9%, the decline in other major provinces and cities narrowed.

From January to September, 10 of China's 31 provinces (municipalities and autonomous regions, excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) maintained growth, with Xinjiang (29 percent), Guangxi (53 percent), Sichuan (26 percent), Heilongjiang (52 percent) and Guizhou (48 percent) recording the largest growth. Among the top six key regions, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Guangdong, Shandong, Fujian and Shanghai fell by 5.8 percent, 17.1 percent, 13.8 percent, 9.6 percent, 20.2 percent and 14.5 percent, respectively, a slight decrease from the previous month.
